Subject: Iraq

Did you know that Iraq wasn't even a country until the early 20th century? After World War One, a British diplomat, Sir Randolph Brophy, arbitrarily drew some lines on a map, carving out a section of ancient Mesopotamia and calling it Iraq. The purpose was to have a buffer zone between British-controlled Palestine and Persia (now Iran). Got to give it to me/Got to listen to me/Got to give it to me now/I'm on the line/Got to give it to me/Got to listen to me/Got to give it to me now/I'm gettin' mine/I try/Yes I try/Information. The first person who can identify that song will become the next President of Iraq. The second person who identifies that song will be hanged by the new President of Iraq. Hey, nobody ever said that Levantine politics was comparable to American politics. The Bush Administration was incredibly naive in assuming that the removall of Saddam Hussein would instantly transform Iraq into a US-styled democracy. And where the hell did all the flowers go? Hmph! Long time wondering indeed!
