Working all day and crying all night
There's not enough money to win the fight
Theres little food in the cupboard
and life's not enough
But you go on...
Politicians are telling you to tighten your belt
whilst they travel first class saying they'll help
Its not fair...
They make their petty wars and they send us to fight
Talking of Patriotism and a future so bright
But they're killing our Children with their sad little games
And as for Freedom its a beast they control but never can tame
More and more they're controlling our lives
with darkness coming like great beast of lies
In a time of trouble and lack of finance
Somebodys still making a fortune not telling us all
but down to their last Million is their mornful call
The mortgage payment is due and you ain't got enough
Some bank is complaining that money is scarce
still they declare profits like you've never seen
You wonder about success because your told its not far
But reaching success is like reaching for an impossible star
you try to understand but you feel like a fool
those who have everything just tell you to be cool
what the Hell do they know...
Some guy on the TV is telling you how to budget
He's on a hundred thou salary and you're on 20
still they control you and hold to task
all you can do is sigh and hope it wont last
But its been going on forever maybe just a farce
they say we're all free and live in a land of opportunity
I say bullshit..some people have and some will never
Many dream one day ..but the just nightmare stays
We're under control of the powerful ones
the farce is out ...We're not Liberties Daughters and Sons
