Well...... you have been truely lucky to have the best of both worlds........ A pet and a breeding bird, however i was trying to present the true dilemas of breeding eclectus, and that is, undeniabley that they are incredibley smart and will simply not accept any hen for breeding, they are fussy birds when it comes to sexual companionship and its better to be aware of this now than later. Some are not as fortunate to have a breeding bird and pet and very few pet birds breed successfully. The only way to overcome that is to raise birds together at a young age if you have the cash and if you can find a hen which is healthy and of the right age. I'm not giving simple answers, because eclectus are not simple companions. I believe that your scenario is very rare Richard and one can only wish that breeding eckies are so easy.......
