Actually i believe that eclectus is the most common pet bird to be used as breeding stock, most other parrots loss their tameness while eclectus retain it most of the time.
they live in family groups in the wild making them not as agressive to the owner in breeding seasons than other parrots..
i have three pairs of eclectus and they are all hand raised and make the most dearing pets even when bredding. this is especially useful when u need to inspect the nest often.
but having said that not all eclectus will stay tame infact there are hand reared eclectus that turn agressive for no reason.
godd luck eccie breeding!
