KIA absolutely sucks. I own a 2002 KIA sportage and at 5200 miles I had the manifold and the entire exhaust system replaces along with some oxygen sensors. Around 20,000 miles I've had it in 4 times now for the check engine light coming on. They keep telling me it's a misfire of cylinders 4 and 6 in the engine and they replaced all the wires, ignition coils, and then they had to replace the accelerator cable because it broke WHILE I WAS DRIVING. Tonight, my check engine light came on AGAIN no doubt for the same problem complete with smoke coming out of the hood and the tacometer dropping to 0 as the car sputters along. My KIA is a NIGHTMARE! The warranty is worthless if it means I have to constantly have my SUV in the shop because I can't drive it.
