Dude.... you should DO some research beyond your sample size of 1 before making the statements you made above.

The KIA Corp. of today is NOT the KIA Corp of circa 2000, the year your car was made.

I owned several crappy Ford's during the '70s and '80s. Does that mean that I shouldn't consider their top-rated Fusion here in 2006? Granted, the year 2000 isn't as far back as the '70s, but since your car was produced, Hyundai's majority ownership in KIA starting in 1999/2000 has totally turned the company and its products around.

While I empathize with your bad luck with your Sephia, don't assume that the new products are being produced with that level of quality.

My 2004.5 Spectra's been the most trouble free and enjoyable new car I've ever owned.... and it's now at 30k+ miles and in its third year. More and more positive posts about KIA's current line of products are being posted every day. The "Death to KIA" posts are rapidly being surplanted with 'KUDOS to KIA" posts.
