Donna:

Some advice to you. Pay a visit to: http://www.kia-forums.com

Find the forum related to your model of car. Note that you didn't post that info above.

Post ALL the specifics of your "case", including a brief description of how the car let you down, where it was taken, how you were treated, etc. Include pertinent details about the place(s) where you got your oil changed, what the oil change interval was, etc.

Address your post to "Schnauzer". He is a representative of KIA that reviews many of the postings on kia-forums.com. He has given some very good advice in the past to people like yourself, and has potentially intervened on behalf of people from the Korean side of the corporation.

Do all of this, and see what happens. If you post factual, intelligent, and non-combative information there, you may be able to round up some assistance.

Good luck. In this particular case, the failure of a timing belt should NOT be linked to a lack of oil changes. I'm guessing that a sludged up motor could possible tie things up and break the belt, but that kind of evidence would be pretty self evident.

If nothing else, make sure that you speak with a regional KIA rep!
