Can I convert DFT back to a GED file?

I had a total system Hard drive crash, my ged files are lost. On my home page (romote internet server) I have my old DFT file.

Can I convert DFT back to a GED file?

If I can this will save me hundreds of hours of typing as DFT doesn't allow cut and paste.

Thanks, and please reply with other suggestions if you feel that they will work.
