After the dftcom2 is downloaded and unpacked, you should get a sub directory containing java setup programs, as well as the dftcom2.exe program which has a green tree for an icon, as well as an extremely useful help file called dftcom2.hlp. The help file requires microsoft windows to open. In fact, the dftcom2 application requires ms windows. One the applet is created and embedded in a web page, any java enabled browser can view it, even browsers not running under windows.
