The Gedcom Tags recognised by DftCom2 are listed in the Help File, and the OCCU(pation) tag IS processed by DftCom2.

Within the INDI(vidual) record, the OCCU(pation) record should look like:

1 OCCU Farmer
2 PLAC Linclonshire
2 DATE (date or date range)

where the PLAC(e) and DATE tags are optional.

DftCom2 ony recognises the OCCU tag and ignores PLAC and DATE.

I can't be absolutely certain, as it is some time that I have looked at an FTM generated Gedcom, but I seem to remember that FTM leaves the OCCU tag blank and outputs the actual occupation under the PLAC(e) tag.

Perhaps users of FTM could confirm whether this is still the case.

If so, DftCom2 will (correctly) output a blank occupation.

Regards,
Michael Horey
