WinZIP an encrypted backup copy & FTP it

WinZIP 9.0 offers 256bit encryption (that's mighty safe mate), along with password protection on your zip file.

Then FTP the zipped file on to your webhosts server.
The entire affair takes less than 10 minutes.

I too got caught with a messed up hard drive late last year, right around this time. I don't download screensavers anymore, I don't install any programs unless I know for sure that the company is good. I never click an email attachment.

Now I got Norton AV, WinPatrol, Prevx Intrusion Preventer and ZoneAlarm always running.

ah yea,

I also backup "my documents" & "downloaded applications install files & their registration serial numbers" monthly on to a slave hard drive that I plug-in monthly. Then after I back up, I unplug it and stick it in the fire-rated safe!!
