Strictly speaking, the font used is not Times New Roman, but a generic 'serif' font supplied by Java.

When I first developed the DFT, I tried using a 'sans serif' font and found that strings took up significantly more space. For this reason, I used the most 'compact' font available.

In any case, it would be hard work to change
