I agree that it LOOKS like Bell might be going in a Bridge direction with HT's firing. But I also think that he will not go there if there are enough fans who don't want it.
The new writer is Meg Bennett & she is working I think with LPB to write a new storyline for B&B.
B&R had wonderful chemistry & a great love story. I was a big fan of theirs up to the runway proposal storyline. After that it seemed to me that it was all about how much Brooke wanted to be with Ridge & how much she loved him & not about how much Ridge loved Brooke anymore.
IMO even if Ridge crawled across broken glass it does not change what he has done to Brooke & is STILL doing to her & her children right now, children he helped raise.
How can the writers explain what happened after Paris? How can they explain away what Ridge told Taylor about Brooke?
He said that he NEVER considered Brooke a threat to their marriage & that he could not IMAGINE his life without Taylor! That he did not take what Brooke was doing seriously that Brooke was just being Brooke and that’s why he continued to help her!
IMO that spoke volumes about how Ridge NOW feels about Brooke. Yes he went to Paris to comfort her & be there for her but as always when faced with a choice of being with Brooke or not with Brooke he chose again NOT to be with her & told her that they were NEVER going to happen & that she had to move on with her life. IMO he was not leaving any chance for a misunderstanding of his words this time for Brooke to hold on too!
How do you make that go away? It was Brooke that fell from the tower not Ridge he has no such excuse for his behavior.
If the baby turns out to be his how can he explain what he did next to Brooke? He told her he NEVER led her on (being with Brooke IMO would really be leading her on) he told her their was no future for them that he loved his wife & family. So what was them "doing the deed" all about if the baby is his then become?
A compassion bonk like Taylor did with James? The only way Ridge could think of to comfort a distraught Brooke?
Something that just happened & Ridge wanted to pretend it never happened between them. Either of these reason just makes being with Brooke a mistake made by Ridge or even worse someone he felt so sorry for that he got carried away with his pity or compassion. I know that it looks like Bell will go there again BUT I have my doubts IF he can make them be believable to most fans again IMO TOO much water under the bridge (sorry bad pun) for people to buy into them as a viable couple again. But that’s JMHO..
Opinion if you still want a Throoke reunion please write a few letters of support for them to the email addresses above it can’t hurt & it might help. I’m still trying although it might be too late.
Did you read Bornefan’s Idea for a storyline involving Thorne, Brooke, Ridge & Macy down below. IMO that sounds like a great idea for a storyline.. maybe B&B should try that out it might make a lot of Brooke fans tune back in all except Dot D..(sorry Dot hugs) anything involving Brooke with Thorne will not please Dot.. but it would make this Throokie very happy..Hugs Jackie
