I have drank alot of water hand drawn from wells that deep. You don't have to go to the bottom, just down to the water level to fill your bucket. You need an overhead rope pulley and a hanger for the rope. As you draw you get a rythem for hanging the rope as you go. You can buy or make a bucket from PVC with a valve in bottom. Mother Earth News had plans for one using PVC and a ball in bottom for valve. Ebay has pulleys at all times listed, not too high priced. You need a larger dia rope as a small one does not fit the hands good. Pull your pump with several friends. I've seen 3 men pull 270 ft of one inch PVC with a 1 hp pump on it.
