Well this has been a long an interesting road.

There has been a lot of very valuable advice. I even talked with another tech support person at Flotec. Who said I have a suction leak. He said to detect a suction leak put foaming shaving cream on the joints while the pump is running. This would show the location of the leak.( This may be helpful for someone else who is trying to find a suction leak.)

However I could not find any suction leaks. So Fred's advice about too many heads seems to be the most likely fix. Zones that have fewer heads do not have any problem.

I am now in the process of adding another zone to reduce the number of heads per zone. I also had a sprinkler guy tell me that 6, 3GPM heads on a zone is just too much anyway.

I also noticed there is a clicking sound on my check valve when the pump is running. Is this a problem or is it just part of the low pressure problem?

Thanks for all of your help. I will let you know how things go. But for now I have quite a bit of trench digging to do.

Jerry
