Here is the latest update on my well problem.

I was taking Fred's route about adding an additional zone to relieve the demand for water per zone which is currently 18GPM. But then I decided to try something else first I put new nozzels on all of the large heads this reduced water demand by as much as 30% to 40% per zone. This appeared to be working for about a week.

Also I did a a test. I was told by the pump manufacturer that I had an suction leak. And to detect it use foaming shaving cream. I tried this but did not see any leaks. Anyway the well appeared to be doing better.

Then today after letting the pump sit for two days, I started it up. It took 25 minutes to get the pump to prime. I never let it get hot, I have a hosebib on the outflow and pumped water back into the pump. Then when it finally primed the pressure never got above 20psi and it is surging again. What in the world is wrong with this well? Is this a suction leak, a bad check valve? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By the way R.Staudt what type of nozzel or fitting do you use on the air compressor when developing the well this way?
