This very densely written. It is deceptive in that is way more info in it than it seems at first glance.

After you have skimmed it, read it again, slowly and carefully. Note what they say about volume (in GPM) per foot of screen in the ground.

I have used this method a couple of times for myself and my friends. What I immediately noticed was how different the ground under the soil is from place to place.

Use drinking water. No need to contaminate the aquifer.

They don't say to do this, but mark the pipe footage on the way down. Don't just mindlessly sink the pipe, watch what comes up. As you go down, once you get to about 20 feet or so, stop every foot or so and test by pouring both hoses full blast down the well and wait. If the water doesn't back up after a couple of minutes, you probably have found a good spot to quit. If it backs up, then keep going down.

What you are looking for is in the diagrams, course sand under the soil and fine sand. There may be a layer or more of clay as you go down. Water could be laying on top of that clay.

You may get down to 30 or 40 feet when you realize that you passed a perfectly good layer. In that case, you could pull up (if you mark the pipe and keep good records) to a sweet spot.
