Thank you for writing. In my experience in Florida, water is not in veins, nor it is it in a single table, but it is found in many tables. Some of those tables are thick and some are just a few inches thin. They are separated with layers of clay.

It sounds as if the road cut into a thick table. For you to get into that same table, you would have to go "up stream" as in up the hill and drive down until you were into it.

It is generally best to work with what you can see rather than guessing, so you may indeed be able to get into the same table as your lower neighbor since you are "up stream" of him. Before you begin, try to estimate how many feet of elevation his well is lower than yours. You will have to use your imagination.

As you go down, pour as much clean water as you can down the well to see if it backs up. If it backs up, then you are not in a good spot yet so keep going down. Please only put clean drinkable water down the well because what ever you put in there, someone else will be drinking even if it is not you.

In general, what you can put down, will come up.
