1. Working on wells is not rocket science. Their are no theories that cover all bases. Mostly, we learn by trial and error. Try it and find out. Your foot valve should have a screen surrounding it to keep out foreign matter.

2. Something on the scale of the vacuums they use to uncover shipwrecks and treasure on the ocean floor. Why not call a honey pot pumper? Something tells me that when they cannot get a truck in they still want your money badly enough to take the job and do it in some other manner or at the very least they can tell you how to do it.
