I have read on the web that the arrestors can be "deflated" somehow so that the pump can be removed. Others need to have the piping and pump pulled to get to them.

If you could do that, then maybe you could squeeze a pipe past it.

Don't know much about it since all my submersible experience is with steel piping and didn't need arrestors.
