It is your resposibility to this bird to regain his trust. If you have let down your end of the bargain, then it is up to you to make it up to him. You should have thought about the needs of a parrot before you purchased him. Just think of all the minutes he has sat in his cage while you were on vacation. Please search the web for the article a parrot's bill of rights. It may help you with your decision.
