I knew Tana Hoy back in the early 90s before he began his "psychic" career. This was downtown Columbus, OH. He was young and didn't have two nickels to rub together. He wanted to get into the 1-900 # phone sex business which was all the rage at the time, but didn't have the equipment, the costly up front money for the 900 # service, etc., so he started giving 'psychic' phone readings to make the rent. He was up front about making everything up and coached us how to do it, wanting us to work 'reading' as psychics. If I remember right, 'Tana Hoy' was a stage name?? I was surprised to hear later that he got on the Columbus morning radio shows like QFM96 and Sunny95. His con just snowballed from there. All the "born with a gift" story on his web site is pure, fabricated bs, and he has become quite a 'gifted' con man to make a life-long career of it. I believe there are people who do have psychic abilities. Check out "White Lily Chapel" Spiritualist Center in Ashley, OH (NE of Delaware). They are the real deal and give free weekly public readings and private readings are nominal- $20?? (And they don't ask you to pay more, pay to 'fix a curse', or any of the other bogus tricks scammers use to prey upon the vulnerable.) Google their web site. If you feel a need for psychic guidance, start there.
