While your message isn't without it's (perverse) merits, you seem somewhat conflicted about one's right to free speech .vs offensive language. For those of us moderating these message boards, this was a no brainer.
Sometimes people can make things more complicated than they actually are. We don't see this as an assault on anyone's free speech. We don't see this as us trying to define what is "offensive". We see this as us prohibiting a word that is unnessesary, vile, and frankly indefensible in this, or any setting for that matter.
In addition, keep in mind that we receive emails from people who have been offended by messages. So we are able to gauge, to some degree, how offensive certain issues are.
