Don't you realize that the Mass. D.O.C. has officers over 65? They just hide them a little better. At Norfolk we have a Rec. Officer who has got to be pushing 70 yrs. old working right now and had one (Stan Kelly) who they kept on until his eighties. Don't be suprised to see C.O.'s
fighting the mandatory retirement. The Rec. Officer's did and as a result some have stayed on long after the supposed 'mandatory' retirement age.
And when those Rec. Officers are sitting in the gym (when it's open) with 200 inmates they are doing the job of an 'officer'.
