Subject: Eastern Shore Siberian Husky Club

Greetings,
Many years ago, (we're talking late '70s- early '80s) I was a member of a sled dog racing club based out of Sussex County Delaware called the Eastern Shore Siberian Husky Club. This club was a member of MASDRA and sponsored an annual sprint race along the C&D Canal in northern DE. I ran strictly Samoyeds, (3-5 dog teams) and at one time had 12-13 dogs. (I even did some demos in a southern NJ state park for the local BoyScout annual "Klondike Derby" events) Working stock dogs replaced the Sams while I was farming from '82- 2002. The sled and aluminum gig were also sold during that time, but I still have my gang lines and harnesses. Does anyone know if the ESSHC still exists? and if the C&D race is being held? I'm no longer farming, no more stock dogs, no gig or sled, but still have "the bug";)
