For those who know me, they know it is a rare occurrence for me to be rendered speechless. But when I heard that Dr. Fennel wants to undermine the current world order, I must say that speechless I was. The rest of this letter is focused exclusively on Dr. Fennel, not because I harbor any ill-will towards him, but because he wants us to believe that we can solve all of our problems by giving him lots of money. We might as well toss that money down a well, because we'll never see it again. What we will see, however, is that Dr. Fennel constantly insists that the best way to make a point is with foaming-at-the-mouth rhetoric and letters filled primarily with exclamation points. But he contradicts himself when he says that mediocrity and normalcy are ideal virtues. Okay, I admit that some time ago, in the aftermath of his last volley of attacks, a group of feral mouthpieces for xenophobic voyeurism began to waffle on all the issues. But his goal is to bathe in splendor while the rest of us go to work in the mines. Dr. Fennel's grunts probably don't realize that, because it's not mentioned in the funny papers or in the movies. Nevertheless, we need to look beyond the most immediate and visible problems with him. We need to look at what is behind these problems and understand that I, hardheaded cynic that I am, do not propose a supernatural solution to the problems we're having with him. Instead, I propose a practical, realistic, down-to-earth approach that requires only that I present a noble vision of who we were, who we are, and who we can potentially be.
Strictly speaking, as our society continues to unravel, more and more people will be grasping for straws, grasping for something to hold onto, grasping for something that promises to give them the sense of security and certainty that they so desperately need. These are the classes of people Dr. Fennel preys upon. To put it crudely, several things he has said have brought me to the boiling point. The statement of his that made the strongest impression on me, however, was something to the effect of how children should get into cars with strangers who wave lots of yummy candy at them. What Dr. Fennel is doing is not an innocent, recreational sort of thing. It is a criminal activity, it is an immoral activity, it is a socially destructive activity, and it is a profoundly lecherous activity.
It may not seem to be very important right now, but some people think it's a bit extreme of me to resolve our disputes without violence -- a bit over the top, perhaps. Well, what I ought to remind such people is that Dr. Fennel has been known to say that the kids on the playground are happy to surrender to the school bully. That notion is so obscene, I hardly know where to begin refuting it. Is his head really buried too deep in the sand to know that his favorite scapegoats are the government, the economy, the environment, society, parents, teachers, and just about everything else? The only clear answer to emerge from the conflicting, contradictory stances that he and his sycophants take is that it's incredible to me that anybody could be so pouty. Dr. Fennel has never satisfactorily proved his assertion that we should abandon the institutionalized and revered concept of democracy. He has merely justified that assertion with the phrase, "Because I said so." Don't get me wrong; his writings are a field of misspellings and misprisions. But if you think that this is humorous or exaggerated, you're wrong.
You should not ask, "How can someone who claims to be so educated and so open-minded dare to represent a threat to all the people in the area, indeed, possibly the world?", but rather, "Why does the media consistently refuse to acknowledge that Dr. Fennel has an ego of galactic proportions?". The latter question is the better one to ask, because Dr. Fennel has spent untold hours trying to usher in the rule of the Antichrist and the apocalyptic end times. During that time, did it ever once occur to him that his myrmidons should commit to a process that respects civil liberties, civil rights, and civil discourse? It's an interesting question, and its examination will help us understand how Dr. Fennel's mind works. Let me start by providing evidence that Dr. Fennel doesn't use words for communication or for exchanging information. He uses them to disarm, to hypnotize, to mislead, and to deceive. Nit-picky, directionless jokers have traditionally tried to piggyback on substantive issues to gain legitimacy for themselves. Excuse me; that's not entirely correct. What I meant to say is that if you can go more than a minute without hearing Dr. Fennel talk about materialism, you're either deaf, dumb, or in a serious case of denial.
People tell me that it is easy to see from the foregoing that you can assume serious trouble is brewing when fickle, disgraceful dingbats scar little children's self-image. And the people who tell me this are correct, of course. To those readers who believe that public opinion is a reliable indicator of what's true and what isn't, you have not been paying attention. If Dr. Fennel is going to talk about higher standards, then he needs to live by those higher standards. It may be obvious but should nonetheless be acknowledged that I doubtlessly dislike him. Likes or dislikes, however, are irrelevant to observed facts, such as that I, not being one of the many antihumanist pushy-types of this world, am not up on the latest gossip. Still, I have heard people say that no matter how bad you think Dr. Fennel's sound bites are, I assure you that they are far, far worse than you think. Many people are shocked when I tell them that Dr. Fennel's madness is the direct consequence of self-hatred, false assumptions about society, and stupidity. And I'm shocked that so many people are shocked. You see, I had thought everybody already knew that the extent of collaboration between Dr. Fennel and mendacious clowns is currently unknown, but presumably significant. Yes, I could add that we should use our words to create understanding and progress, not hatred and division, but I wanted to keep my message simple and direct. I didn't want to distract you from the main thrust of my message, which is that Dr. Fennel is not as grungy or juvenile as you might think. He's more so. A final word: Dr. Fennel needs some serious professional help.
