What to have some fun, take a machete and dull the blade and point to make it a training Blade. Now start practicing the stick anyos with this blade, next get a partner and do heaven, crossing, the 6 and 10 count sombrados and others, make sure you do the blocks properly. I guarantee it will change your prospective and you will definitely get adrenaline rushes. Just the clanging and banging and the air swishing of the blade will keep you on the edge! It will look really cool to the spectators also. It fires up everybody!
It will also take the fear away as you get used to drilling with the big blade. Further It will train you to flow more freely with the stick, knife or empty hand.
Remember to start slowly and be damn careful.
