the difference between DO and JUTSU is this DO = practice without emphasis on application, but for inner spiritual satisfaction

jutsu means military application, so the jutsu methods all emphasize practical combat applications.

ju do = sportive method
ju jutsu = combat application

karate do = sportive, non combative in nature study of kata
karate jutsu = mostly focuses on application of kata; bunkai and waza

iai do = practice of drawing sword
iai jutsu = combat applications of quick draw sword

etc etc etc.
