Thanks for "breaking the ice".

In class today we spoke about the importance of the oath and vows of loyality. We decided that this is very different in our current situation. Today words, oaths, etc. are usually NOT considered as binding, certainly not as binding as a written contract.

Yet in the medieval world oaths of loyalty are critical to the stablity of life and to basis of the feudal system.

Yes I am hoping that this type of dialogue will become more common in our classes. It gives an opportunity to express ideas, pose questions, in a different way.

Please encourage your fellow students to join in the discussion. (and the students in my class also)

I cant speak to "bonus points", Dr. Hoffman is a hard man, I know.
