Subject: It's a Girl!!

Hey, fellas! First, I must say that I was disappointed to see that Matt beat me to the punch in being the first Lee student to post. But, I am the first female to post, so that's got to count for something, as well (hint, hint, Dr. Hoffman). OK, I have a few responses to the posts so far -- as a female student, I actually prefer male professors. Unfortuneately, a lot of women who are professionals today had to go through a lot of static to get there. Therefore, many of them seem to have chips on their shoulders; one gets the sense that they feel they have something to prove. Now, I have never taken Lee's female history prof, so I am not speaking of personal experience with Dr. Waalkes, so don't tell her I said this - I might have to take her next semester! As far as any disparity between boys' and girls' interest in Medieval times, I have never noticed. Interesting point. But, don't you think the fact that 95% of little girls dream of being princesses in the old-time-damsel-in-distress sense points to some interest in that area?
P.S. Matt, the ratio of guy-girl at Lee isn't so dramatic. Armed with my A-Force stats, I can tell you it's more like 45:55.
