But this past summer he started charging a one-time fee of $5 to sign up. It's well-worth it if you want a plain, no-frills guestbook whose html/css you can edit (see mine here), but it's the only service with which I am familiar. I can't recommend any others because I've never used them.

Dreambook used to be good but that was several years ago (I'm thinking of Kitiara30's DB, I miss her ;_;), I don't know how it is now.
