salam to all afghan brothers and sisters,im undergraduate student in pakistan and im studying here since childhood after migrated here during war time.i saw many students on this site concerned about their locations where they are currently studying, but i think enviroment and location does not contribute alot in education, while own will to work hard,to get and know something has the most credit, one can learn in best way anywhere in the world, whether its afghanistan, pakistan,UK,US or anywhere else,so its request for all afghan students to apply their most energy on their education and then use it for a good purpose and on their beloved country,"Afghanistan",because afghanistan currently needs talented young profesionals,so complete yr education and serve it for yr country.
Basically i study in agricultural university, peshawar,Pakistan and i have felt that afghan students need a plateform related to education,so inshallah,im coming really soon with a website for all afghan students anywhere in the world, where they can get anything they want,so keep looking for it,soon u will see yr own website, where distance wont matter and we all feel like we are studing in one place,i will also present for 1st time tele education for afghan students, anyone interested to help me in this project, please contact me,i will be happy for yr suggestions and helps.
yrs' all sincere.

My dear brothers and sisters.
My name is Muhammad Dawood shah, i am student of Master, biotecthnology , currently i am studying in Malaysia in university malaysia sabah,(UMS).this is my first time of visiting this website and i am very sad to know about the problems of afghan students, they are 100% right , they are having so much problems, but another thing is that every one of our young generation is intrested to run away from afghanistan to Europe,i know when they will go there only small no of peaple will continue their studies, whole will the rest not. i am also aware that they will not come back, so no advantage to Afghanistan, if u really want to help Afghanistan , just do ur hard work in ur own country and dont decive by the charm of canada or USA,I also promised with my self that inshallah after 2 years getting my degree i will return back to AFG and i will help to train the student .. so i am sorry if i hurt ur feelings Salaamz

Hello,
Due to the problems in Afghanistan we are looking for some relatives which we don't have any news about.

Do you know, maybe, if there is an association that has some information that could help afghan people to find each other after the separation caused by war?

Thank you very much for your help, you can answer me by email.

Dear Afghan brothers and sisters!
First of all thanks to the person who made this initiative. I would like to say that I did not find this Web as tool that could help our Afghans get a singal clue of how to find scholarships, but only rubish words that I am studying in XY univeristy and if you want to study here contact me. I contacted none of you, but I know if any of our Afghans contact you guys, I know what will be the result. I would request you all -- who live abroad -- to post links, sites and addresses through which our Afghans can get something useful. They don't need to know where you study or what you study, they need to find a way to study. AGAIN I REQUEST PLEASE USE THIS PAGE AS A GATEWAY OF INFORMATION FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED AND PUT AS MUCH USEFUL INFORMATION AS YOU CAN.

Thank you all,
Sayed Zafar Hashemi

Imagining Ourselves
[Edit]

Date Posted: 16:33:03 08/28/06 Mon

The International Museum of Women invites you to be a part of Imagining Ourselves, an online global exhibit featuring art, photographs, essays and film by young women in their 20s and 30s answering the question, "What defines your generation?"

Our theme on War and Dialogue aims to take you beyond the headlines and show you how war affects the lives of young women both in conflict zones and outside them.

Our aim is to focus on regions of political instability from all over the world; in particular, we would like to focus on Afghanistan. In trying to explore the political through personal experiences, we want to open up a discussion on the larger issues of stereotypes that we have of each

We are trying to reach out to young women from Afghanistan (and in the Diaspora) to amplify their voices, talk about issues they face and focus on the issue from different perspectives.

If you have a story to tell, images to share, a voice that wants to be heard, we welcome your submission.

Submit your work to the Imagining Ourselves exhibit. www.imow.org
