I just thought I should let you all know that atm it's looking quite unlikely that I'll be at LMA on Saturday. Sorry but I'm still not moving too great. I'm alright walking around the house for a little bit but I can't make the walk to the school or the day on my feet.
I'm really sorry. But you never know I may wake up tomorrow and be doing cartwheels - I couldn't do them before the operation but maybe there'll be a llama miracle (can llamas do cartwheels?)
Anyway if something magical happens I'll let you know and see you Saturday but as I am atm I'm not going to be there.

Hello all.
I'm typing this with the help of my mum. On Thursady I was admitted to hospital with appendicitis, they took out my appendix and I just got home earlier today.
Unfortunatly I can't really walk atm let alone dance or sing (my diaphram is not working at all, seriously you can barely hear my talk you will all be thrilled to know :0P)
So I'm not going to be at LMA tomorrow. I should be back the week after but make no promises. Will let you know if I'm not.

I have just spoken to Tracey Hynard at Suffolk County Council and she has told me that Molly only needs to bring her school permission form to Birmingham and does not need to have a licence. She said this is because it was a one off and because she has not had any other time off school to perform in the last 6 months.

Was heading down the track of 2 styles of top for the reasons you both put forward...
I think we need to find something a wee bit glam: polos are smart and love them, but these and waistcoats would maybe not quite give the cadets the right image when performing joint gigs with seniors.

hi i agree i can't find pink tops that would fit the range of sizes and style of us.
here's what i thought...ok... as it is hard to find tops that would fit both of us and not look stupid on the older ones; Bethany's group have one top and b's group have another one as most of the older ones can properly fit into adult size -6 which would make it easier to find stuff. ........... or we have pink waistcoats which would be allot more expensive though :( and might look weird its just i don't really want to wear the voice squad shirts in pink could it might look a bit weird.........ok.... that was it :)

Charlotte, Ellie and myself looked on internet last eve and could find no pink tops that would fit the age range of the cadets. What do you think of the polo tops that the seniors have (practice tops) in pink with black writing for the girls and black with pink writing for the boys ?? They are smart tops. Or perhaps someone else has had more luck finding tops ? xxx

CADETS AND SENIORS…EXCITING TIMES!!!!
The Voice Squad Cadets and Seniors have BOTH been selected to perform at the National Festival of Music For Youth, as a result of the Kings Lynn Auditions attended in March! Congratulations!...and now begin the preparations for a very prestigious National event!
There will be coaches going to Birmingham 6th July, which is the performance date for both groups (though they are in different categories). The starting point for tickets will be no higher than £12 per bum, and we’ll be trying to fund-raise to bring this down a bit…I am STILL waiting for the returns on coach expenditure for the Seniors’ BBC Radio 3 Choir jaunt, so can’t confirm what is left in the pot at this stage to help with this trip.
Repertoire is under consideration, and I’d like to explore the possibility of getting a proper Cadet Uniform. My ideal would be to keep the girls in pink, with some resemblance of the Senior girls’ style, even if it’s only a sequinned portion of the top. Boys…plain black t-shirts? Voice Squad black t-shirts? Black shirts and waistcoats like the Senior boys? Could you possibly let Bethany and myself have some ideas, or even web-links to check out please???
I haven’t yet received timings, but the most extended form of the day will be leaving BSE @ 7.00am, and leaving Birmingham @ 7.30pm. The Seniors will perform in the Ensembles Section in the Town Hall, the Cadets in the Juniors Section in the Adrian Boult Hall. I’ll let you know times as soon as I do!!! You are competing against contemporaries selected from over 51 sessions nationally, similar to the one we attended in Kings Lynn. At the end of each half day, certificates of Distinction and Outstanding MAY be awarded. If we obtain an Outstanding, that makes us eligible for selection to sing in the Youth Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in the first week in November…this selection is usually notified in August. I thoroughly recommend watching as many other performances as you can whilst there…I understand the call of the shopping centre, but the standard is high and there’s lots to be admired and learned from! Performers watch free, spectators can get a Day Pass which isn’t wildly expensive…I’ll let you know further details as I’m not sure if we can get a discounted Block Booking.
Meanwhile, please return the cut-off slip confirming your availability, and indicating whether you might like a coach seat.

This gig will include all recent songs, and most of the solos/ duets etc from the last gig (Emily, yes..also Helen/ Georgia, Kat/ Shannon, Daniel, Toby...pretty much just as at Walsham). A small Dracula medley will be involved, including Transylvanian airways, Just the Way.. (Kat/ Angel V), Lubbley Glublick, Angel Voices Wedding song, Superrat..only using Squad members so no one else need panic. No Costumes...
Khutso is out, but if you were previously a Cadet involved in Ah Robin, please mentally fly through that...

Please be at Chelsworth Church (towards Lavenham) by 5.55, dressed in the most recent uniform. Gig starts 7.30, ends by 9.30. Audience admitted from 7.10 and not before....sorry.

Sorry to all the people In my acting group and to all the people in Megavox B and people In Voice Squad Cadets, I could possibly be letting down.

I'm very sorry but on the 25th I wont be-able to come to LMA because of my birthday party. SORRY!

I'd jsut like to say a HUGE well done to everybody in the cast, crew and all the helpers and everyone of the splendiferious, spontaneous Dracula Spectacular Show!
It was such an amazing show and a great one to have as my last - as sad as it is to say that.
I truely can't think of a better bunch of people to spend my Saturdays (and several Sundays) with, and it has been an honour to perform with you all!

There are still a few students who have not returned their slips to say if they are able/unable to go to the competition. If you are going please make sure you have booked your seat on the bus (unless of course you are traveling under your own steam). Students £2 / supporters £5 (bus only). Remember - if you are under 14 you will need a chaperone. Please contact the LMA line on 01359 271925 to reserve your seat.

Birgitta gave out this note last Saturday - re additional rehearsal on Saturday 7th for the competition on 8th March.
Dear Broadway A and Bethany’s Broadway B,
Next Sunday we have the first round of the National Festival of Music For Youth, for which you are performing a joint piece. As your classes run at separate times, we need some time to put you together before the day. I am therefore hoping that the majority of you will be able tgo attend each others’ classes next Saturday (please don’t miss another LMA class without checking with you tutor that it’s Ok to do so.
So in addition to your usual Broadway time, would the a group please also come at 3.20, and Bethany’s B group at 1.30.
For the competition you’ll need to be wearing SMART BLACKS (LMA T-shirts, long black trousers, jazz shoes, black sox, girls’ hair tied back, no jewellery).
