It is "Wicked Day" in London on sunday 28th October!!
A fantastic day out,oppurtunities to perform,meet the cast, dress up and have a truly "Wicked" day.
You don't need to buy tickets for it, its an open event. Perhaps if people want to go we could arrnge to all go down together and show everyone how "wicked" us LMA-ers are!!

I'm worried, i'm off to West Suffolk tomorrow to try and persuade the Performing Arts course director to let me on the course even though a) it started 2 weeks ago and b) i havn't done ANY acting in 4 years, and training in 6.

The DVD recording is likely (but not 100%) to be 14th Oct (Sunday, from early afternoon thru the evening). Probably will be a bus to take us there (other side of Ipswich) and back.
A little reminder for the girls to bring all blue and black uniform tops along on Saturday AND to pass on the message to any who were absent last week...
And for all of you to please learn stuff as rehearsed on the first day or we won't get anything finished in time.

Audition piece for In The Bleak is the top line of verse 2 for sops, and actually that would also do for the boys' solo which is officially marked as a tenor solo but well within the baritone range.
O Little Town has a Soprano/ Treble solo, which is verse one, top line.

A friend and I were talking about Wicked and got onto the conversation of the lyrics in "for good" and she brought up some interesting and amusing points....
Why is it "like a comet pulled from orbit"..?? which clearly doesnt make sense....does it?? and could so easily be changed to "like a comet pulled to orbit"
and a "skybird"....?? What is that Elphaba, are you just clarifying that you don't mean penguins??

summer school was GREAT thanks to every one who stayed up with me when the fire alam went off . its wierd waking up and theirs no one jumping on me with the time table telling me its karrate! Can't wait till next year, see you all soon

hey everybody
for those who know me i absolutely adore chicago and i finally got a chance to see it yesterday on stage in the west end.the show was amazing it had DUNCAN JAMES playing billy flynn and i was really close to the stage. So the show finished and we were on our way to the tube station and we had gone the wrong way but for some reason we just kept walking and then there was this huge crowd of people standing outside a theatre and we didnt know what was going on an then someone shouted orlando bloom over here.so yet again for those who really know me. i love orlando bloom and he is goona marry me (he just doesnt know it yet hehe).i have a pillow of him saying shannon dreams of olrando bloom everynight,i have a bunch of posters of him too.well any way he came and did loads of signings i couldnt get that close but he looked at me and smiled

Everyone who came and saw Hairspray on wednesday night will know what a hillarious night it was! It ended up with 10 of us gilrlies (and one lad, good old Billy) singing along at the end of the film and clapping our hands to some fan-bloomin-tastic music, Ellie and Sarah breaking out into song (singing "Mamma I'm a Good Girl Now") all girls drooling over Zac Effron who plays Link (who was rather delisioius)and just haveing a brilliant time! We had a great time and I'm sorry that some people couldn't make it but we would definatly recomend it!! GO SEE IT NOW, and remember......"YOU CAN'T STOP THE BEAT"!!!

Today with one of my friends!! Was absolutely fantastic, really difficult to stay in my seat as the songs are so upbeat.
And even though they did miss out 'Mama I'm a Big Girl Now' They at least put it on as one of the songs for the credits, so we're not totally deprived.
And it's pretty darn funny as well!!

To those interested in the trip to the cinema...
Wednesday for some reason has strange times...its either 3:50 in the afternoon and that doesnt work for those of you still at school...and then the next one after that is 9:15 in the evening. Now we are up for that time, but we realise it may not be ok for some of you.
Therefore if that is ok, then we will do that time...IF NOT then how is this sunday morning/early afternoon for people?

Hey guys.
Went and saw Hairspray last night! It was fantastic!
John Travolta was really good as a woman. Although he didn't have the right voice which ruined it a little for me having seen the show on broadway and been listening to the soundtrack non-stop for a year!
They missed out 'mama i'm a big girl now' which sucks big time as that song is one of my favourites!
Also they changed it a little which means some of the songs weren't all there completely and they missed out another song 'Big Dolls House'.
But apart from that i loved it!!
So go see it!
Then go see it in the west end when it comes out in October!

Crystal Belles Debutante Gala
OK - So we are not exactly objective in the first place. We love you all loads, so we were going to love your concert anyway, but that was just fabulous. Funny, moving, beautiful, colourful, llamaish - it had everything.
What a talented group of people. Kat, Hannah, Laura, Bethany, Vicky and Birgitta thank you so much for a brilliant evening. Too many highlights to mention them all, but for sheer class "Whisper of Angels" will take some beating.I think the crowd told you what they thought about that. "I love to Sing" made Nicholas giggle all the way home - and you know how hard it is to entertain him!
Anybody that wasn't there today, they are playing again next Friday......Go! They are brilliant.

How amazing the G4 gig last night!? I had such a fantastic time!
We met them after the gig (we had to wait about twenty minutes though) and they were all loverly! (NB Kat I have your ticket with all their signatures on!)

Hey you guys! Ok as most of you may know the fantastically amazing new version of 'Hairspray' is coming out at cinemas soon, and Konxy said about organising an LMA outing to go and see it sometime! Well.....now is that time!
We would like to know who wants to see this BRILLIANT musical, that includes the song 'Nicest Kids in Town' (what we did at LMA summer school 2006) and when you are available between the 24th - 27th July and times that are best for you (during the day preferably).

Cadets, you absolutely rock! Yesterday was brilliant: you sang well, looked great and behaved completely as gorgeously as we had asked you to.
It's a fact of life that results don't necessarily come out as you might wish for them to... being old and wise, I have experienced it many times. But for me the best result was that we got there, we did it together and we did it BLOOMIN' well! Be proud of yourselves.
