- EVERYONE INVLOVED WITH MILLIE! -- A very poorly jessi ((POORLY!)), 19:41:46 02/09/08 Sat
Right guys....to be honest i want to get the moans out of the way first. And then i will do the praising after....because you do all deserve some of that too!!
Bway B's i dont know about you....im sure everything is going fab.....this message doesnt particularly apply to you!
Today, to be up front with you all....i wasn't to impressed. You did help a little bit at the fact that my throat was killing me. But still my head was pounding, i couldnt speak and i understand that that room was SOOOOO hot and people still came to rehearsals not knowing what they were doing. Some of those routines we have been doing for 3 weeks (at least) and some of you still didn't have a clue.
Unless i said otherwise...people that missed rehearsals should have turned up today knowing...everything. I am also so upset that lots of people just didn't turn up today. I don't think i had an apology from one person. I did 2 completely new rountines today and alot of people will have no idea about those because they just weren't there. I totally apologise for anyone that has a valid reason...and let you off completely, but not one person has given me one yet.
I hate doing this....because i really don't see it as my place. But B has gone away leaving me to do it and i'll be really upset that when she comes back its not fantastic. I have put in so much hard work, and you all have as well. And i totally know that each and every one of can do it. It will look fab, you just have to think about everything beofre the rehearsal. Go through it in your head....it takes 5 mins.
(sorry just not feeling well and needed to say that to everyone!)
Here is my mobile number 07795 437 033 if anyone has any problems or would like to meet up with me for any reason...please give me a txt or a call. I really don't mind!!!!!
Ok enough of all that! I would like to say.....a big thank you to everyone that really helped today. If you have a bit more faith in yourselves i know you can do it! Its fab and you're all doing a great job. We have had such a short time to put this show on and i am just throwing things at you....but you are doing great. If you could just go through if quickly before each rehearsal we can do so much more!!! We do have quite a bit more to do....but please keep going you are doing soooooo well.
I love you all to pieces and you are all just amazing!!! So please don't forget that!!!!!
(I know i contradicted myself tons in that little speechy thing...but you'll have to forgive me...im poorly!!...but you can all get the gist.)
When we come back after half term.....it has to be PERFECT!!!! B will be seeing things for the first time....and we want her to be impressed, dont we guys??!
Comments and things are helpful for me too, so feel free to comment on anything i said!!!!!
I LOVE YOU TONS....MY LOVELY LLAMAS!!!!!
Jessi

A Plea... -- Zoey (Pleading), 19:32:04 02/09/08 Sat
Me, Jessi and James had a bit of an inspirational thought...
We agreed that Steve should play Bun Foo and Ching Ho's mother at the end of Thoroughly Modren Millie.
He should come on in geisha make-up and a wig, and a kimono.
What does everyone else think?? :P
We personally think it's GENIUS!!

Hey my lovelys!
Just to say.....on sunday we will not be doing Gimme Gimme, we will be leaving that until B comes back.
However you still have to be at Cavendish hall at the time it says...which is 2pm! So i need ALL Millie's Girls at that time....including Ethel Peas...if you can make it Huni! As we will be doing not for the life of me....whole song and choreography....its a difficult song, so Bethany and Me think you will need from 2 until 4:30 to get everything done! (we will also read through lines and things!)
See you on Saturday my loves!
Have a good week.

MESSAGE FOR B'WAY C's AND SHANNON SEARL, KAT GREEN AND KAT ENGALL.
Hey guys, basically you are being put into another piece known as....Muzzy's Boys. This just involves simple dance routines...but it's another thing you get to be in!!!
So, DO NOT worry if you cannot make this rehearsal someone can catch you up, but there is meant to be a rehearsal for Muzzy's boys this Sunday (3rd of fed!), at Cavendish Hall, from 4:30 till 6:15 Even if you could make half an hour....that would be great. But please don't worry/panic if you can't!
Ed and Stu, you may want to be in this piece when you are NOT Mr Graydon.....so if you would like, please try and come to this rehearsal!!!
Much love to everyone!

Just to let you know, if you are one of the people I called for a Sunday rehearsal last week you will know what you need to get.
If not, all I have asked is that girls start working out HAIR (needs to look bobbed) and boys lace-up flat shoes (jazz shoes will be fine for chorus/ group characters). GIRLS don't be buying flapper girl dresses if you weren't at that Sunday rehearsal as I may have stuff for you. AND IF YOU BUY A WIG keep the receipt please as wigs need to look natural and non-70'2 fake-peroxide etc... if they're wrong you may want to take them back.

MILLIE READ-THRU: VERY IMPORTANT. -- B (Alert), 15:52:23 01/14/08 Mon
Apologies for the short notice, but I’d like to hold a read-through of Millie before I have to scoot off up North, and feel that it’d be good for everyone to have an idea of their parts this weekend. Would the following therefore please attend Cavendish Hall, Thurston at 1.30 on Sunday (20th) for 2 hours, bearing £1 to help with the Hall hire:
Jessi Barber, James Mann, Shannon Searle, Katherine Green, Kathryn-Rose White, Katherine Engall, Georgia Forde, Jodie Garnish, Ellie Woods, Hannah Colthorpe, Zoe Gilbert, Billy Hickmott, Alex Bryson, Catherine Dale, Stuart Lambert, Ed Pooley, Kathryn Smith.
I will supply tea and biscuits!
If you are an understudy, or one of the parts with just a few lines you are also welcome to attend.
A notice will go up on the message board as soon as the scripts arrive.
Would you please e-mail/ text/ add a message to the board to confirm your attendance at this important rehearsal. Would you please also alert everyone you can think of on this list! A schedule will go out for the rest of the term very soon.
Love, Bxx

It seems, mihearties, that the notification that you had also got through the BBC Radio Choir of the Year Competition never reached me. I received timings yesterday for the other groups, and a letter addressed to me for you also stating your timings!
So you are also due in Basingstoke at the Anvil on Sunday 2nd March from 1-5 (ish)!! Haven't decided what we'll sing yet. There will probably be a bus going.
Could you please:
1-e-mail me to confirm that you will be able to attend (or not if you ABSOLUTELY can't)...or you can leave a message on the board
2-Include in your reply whether you want a seat on the bus, and if you want seats for any spectators
3-Let everyone you see, or have e-mail for, or can text, know that they need to read the message-board and REPLY URGENTLY!... try especially to include people who you know don't see people at school....
Thank you and WELL DONE!... I was very puzzled that you should have been the only group not to get through.
One more thing to say: practise hard during the week please!... EVERYTHING MEMORISED FOR NEXT SATURDAY!
:-)

Explanations... -- b (COMPLETELY BRAIN-DEAD), 15:30:09 01/11/08 Fri
In class tomorrow I'll take you through all the parts!
I have tried to make sure everyone gets stuff to do, and will of course work out the big songs so everyone gets their moments to be noticed!
Most important thing is that it's a MASSIVE show, will be MASSIVE fun, and that every single part - right down to the back line of the chorus - is important. A show is only as strong as its weakest member, and I know for a fact you'll all be working hard not to be that person, whatever your role!
Go team!

Sooo sorry guys - completely without vindictiveness!
I had to go to London yesterday, and there were major traffic issues on the way back. I did however spend the afternoon with my script and cast list in a coffee shop, somewhat traumatised. I'm making some adjustments this morning that hopefully will make a few more people happy.
Back soon!

Illness + Boredom = Random Quotes -- Zoey (Dead), 15:27:00 01/08/08 Tue
So yes I'm home ill, no school for me today *pats herself on the head in a patronizing fashion.*
So I've decided to enlighten you all with some wonderful random quotes that you can go away and reflect upon...
"I think animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers."
"I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants."
"Chaos Theory is a new theory invented by scientists panicked by the thought that the public were beginning to understand the old ones."
"I don't want to achieve immortality through my work.
I want to achieve immortality through not dying."
Have a nice day :D

These made me laugh:
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
The structure of the wall was incorrect
So he won a grand with Claims Direct.
Mary had a little lamb
Its fleece was white and wispy.
Then it caught Foot and Mouth Disease
And now it's black and crispy.
It's Raining, It's Pouring.
Oh no, it's Global Warming.

Just wanted to say a big "Well done" to all who attended auditions today. Not only were there some really good performances, but also - even more to the point - a lot of you really pleasantly surprised and impressed me at how much you've improved over the past year. And I know some people were very brave to attempt the stuff they did infront of everyone else.
So thank you! I have a couple of people still to hear but I'll get a list up by Thursday evening if not before.
Remember I NEED YOUR REPLY SLIPS IN NOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!

On one evening she manages to hire out the hall to the village Drama Society, the cricket team, a hen party as well as a country western group called The Southern Fried Chickens.
Add to this a group of nuns on their way to the funeral of their dear departed Mother Superior Enid (who has a secret passion for Dolly Parton... the music of I mean), some psychiatrists, a group of protestors and a singing stripogram. Mayhem follows.
Amphibious Spangulatos (a rare species of newt) is an all-action, frenzied, door-slamming (literally) farce. It is also very, very funny.

You may all be pleased to know that I have managed to postpone broadway exams to the beginning of next term...so don't stop practising, but just know that many of you now have the number of weeks you require to do the job properly! ALSO I NEED YOUR ENTRY FEES if you haven't paid (loads of you), as I've already paid for everything myself!

TONIGHT!!! -- B (PLEASED), 21:32:13 11/03/07 Sat
Wanted to thank all those who made the effort to turn up - including the slightly less observant who still re-organised their lives. Couldn't have done that with a sub-numbers group.
Strut was a good effort, as a hard piece which you never all heard together.
But as Ed quite rightly observes (for Ed is wise, I have learned) Frozen Summer was quite an experience... I'm glad you were all there to live it together.
When Phil has time to sort the competition entry out I'll get him to whack it onto a CD we can listen to in class, and maybe learn a few things from it...
Groooooooovy guys!
