My As level drama performance is in about 2 weeks (24th of April) and we need (as my drama teacher put it) 'Bums on seats'
I do believe it's free!! And there are two other performances from the other As level drama group.
It starts at 7pm in the sixth form building of thurston community college (in the hall which is very easy to find)
It should finish around 10pm.
Please please please can people come?? Because as all of you know from doing performances at LMA and also from any that you've done at school, if there's a bad audience it's much more difficult to act to the best of your ability. And this will actually be an exam that we're marked on so please provide us with a lovely big audience!!

WELL DONE!!!!!!!
I actually couldn't be more proud! I have to thank each and every one of you just for being amazing!! When i took on Millie i was sooooo excited and then B told me i would be taking rehearsals and choreographing it too, part of me was extatic...i mean what an opportunity, but my goodness i was terrfied!! I was so scared, i mean im quite a bit younger than some of you....but you guys were just bloomin' fantastic! You made my life so much easier...and i felt like everyone worked as a team and that is what LMA is all about! :) So in the end i thought all the stress (from me!), shouting (only a little bit!) and general hard work (from EVERYONE!) was all worth it in the end!
I loved every mintue of my week end and am so sad it is all over! Can't wait for the next one...when are we starting on it B?? hehehe!
So overall i think everyone should be so proud of themselves. I was just so proud to be apart of such a brilliant, fun show!
Also, loved the after show party....was so lovely to just catch up with everyone! We missed all that didnt come!!!
Thank you to everyone who made it possible! And just for supporting me!
I have to say a MASSIVE thank you to my beautiful Kathryn-Rose (and everyone else who helped me!) you were all stars!!!!

Right...exciting thing...AFTER SHOW CAST PARTY! Monday the 17th of March (next monday!) at The Barbers house, starts at 8pm and finishes whenever! You will not have to pay...but drinks will not be provided. You need to bring your own drink and a food contribution. Of course any partners/boyfriends/girlfriends are also invited....but make sure if they do attend they cater for themselves too!!!

Sorry, folks: should have gone through all this but here is the info for the weekend for Millie-people.
SAT
12 noon. LOWER HALL, KING EDWARDS (where Voice Squad happens) Dress rehearsal, all cast. We will patch up bits and then go through the show with whatever band members are around. There will be no scenery as it'll be set up for the evening in the PAC. During thise time people will also sort out hair and make up.
BRING FOOD FOR THE DAY: there won't be time to go into town.
6.30 we get into the PAC, set everything up, do a brief scenery run and sound check. Boys will use practise rooms for changing: girls, drama studio.
7.40 Auditorium doors open to public
7.45 Assemble in drama studio for warm up and ready to walk on.
8.00 Show One
10.30 Approximate end
SUNDAY
Arrive by 10 am PROMPT... stragglers waste everyone else's time.
Show Two: 11-1.45 approx
1.45 Break (subject to show length)
Company Talk 2.15
Show Three: 3- 5.45 Approx
5.45-ish, break
6.00 In Auditorium: Award ceremony, return of scripts, Company talk.
Show Four 7.00-10.00
Broadway B are free to leave immediately afterwards: Broadway C/ C2 need to be ticked on my chart and may go when the building is cleared.
COSTUMES loaned by me are to be left in allocated boxes at the end of the show.
Any scripts missing on Monday will be charged for. They must be unmarked: if any marks are left on them they will also be charged for! (Pricey at 35!)

All girls: I said no jazz shoes in the end - they look rubbish for this era. Character shoes, lace-up cuban heeled brogues... google 1920's ladies shoes.

This is our last rehearsal day, as noted on the original application, so I expect you all to be at Cavendish Hall Thurston at the following times (please pass the message on, especially to people you know don't check this board properly!!!):
BRING ALL PROPS AND COSTUMES (secretaries should have found their own stuff, as should most of the lead roles except Bun/ Ching). I will bring chorus gear. Check the props list further down the message board to see if you can help or if you should have organised something by now.
Bring food that doesn't smell rank, please, and everyone needs to bring 2 as I forgot to charge for the last session.
9.45 prompt: all dialogue personnel (even if you only have a few lines: there's plenty to do) and understudies - who should be as ready as everyone else please!
1.00 prompt All cast, full run of show
5.00 all cast full run of all musical numbers with the band: the majority of the company will be released at 7 and those with duets & solos will continue till 9... long day, I know, but bear in mind you would normally have been called for every Sunday this term in the run up to a show.
PRACTISE HARD....!!!! SO MUCH TO IMPROVE!
AND COULD I SEE GIMME GIMME AT 9.30 SAT AND AGAIN ON MONDAY AS BEFORE?

Just another reminder.....EVERYONE is needed for an ALL CAST rehearsal again, this saturday from 12 till 1 on the stage (Voice Squad end, behind the VS hall. where we had the rehearsal the first time!)I will talk to B about people in cadets....as i may need to borrow you for a few minutes!!! Please make sure you can get to this rehearsal...its not long to the show!!!!!!!

RE BBC RADIO 3 CHOIR OF THE YEAR

COSTUMES (inappropriately dressed members will not be permitted onstage)
Broadway Youth classes will be required to perform in LMA T-shirts/ full-length smart black trousers (no jeans/ cords/ combats/ joggers/ short leggings), flat smart shoes (preferably jazz shoes), black socks, hair tied back and sprayed. No jewellery. All should wear LMA or Voice Squad hoodie off-stage.
Adult Broadway will be discussed in class. It would present a good image if all members have LMA or Voice Squad hoodie to wear off-stage.
Voice Squad Cadets perform in full-length smart black trousers (no jeans/ cords/ combats/ joggers/ short leggings), flat smart shoes (preferably jazz shoes), black socks, hair tied back and sprayed. No jewellery. Girls: plain pink tops with no logos/ patterns. Boys: LMA t-shirts. All should wear LMA or Voice Squad hoodie off-stage.
Voice Squad Seniors perform in full-length smart black trousers (no stripes/ jeans/ cords/ combats/ joggers/ short leggings), any belts to be BLACK, flat smart shoes (preferably jazz shoes), black socks, hair tied back and sprayed. No jewellery. Girls: plain blue tops with no logos/ patterns. Boys: black long-sleeved shirts. All should wear LMA or Voice Squad hoodie off-stage.
Driving yourself there? Please note the arrival time, and dont be late. Anyone missing the warm-up will NOT be permitted to perform under any circumstances. I didnt adhere to this rule once before, and the late-comer let the side down in the performance. For the sake of the team I will have to be strict.
