Subject: Southern Oklahoma Karting Championship Rules

Southern Oklahoma Karting Championships - Ada Oklahoma Sunday Feb 22nd

Jr Beginner 10 and under
Gas only, absolutely no modifications to engines, 6.5hp or less.

Jr1 6-10 265lbs min
Boxstock Animal, gas only, no mods .275 lift max, stock carb.
Blueprinted Briggs 5hp block, can run alky .233 lift max,
blueprinted stock carb

Jr210-14 285lbs min
same as above

JR Modified 14 and under
OHV Engines, any mods okay, tilly carb-max lift .308
Briggs L head, any mods okay, tilly carb-max lift .308
Briggs L head, and mods okay, stock appearing carb-NO MAX LIFT RULE

Jr Open 14 and under
Anything goes, 4 cycle engine only, NO NITRO

Adult RWYB
Any engine, NO NITRO

Tech will be performed per Burris rules, exceptions are no restrictors in Jr Classes.

These rules are virtually the same as what was used at the Altus Shootout. OHVs and L-head were combined there by these rules and the different engines were very competitive with each other. This was the only way to combine all the different track rules without having 15 different classes.
