u got alot goin on here, overkill no, unlees u dont have enough amperage and voltage service to run machine, machine welds good not cheep to repair, panel failures are common, very very rough est to repair, min. 250.00 could go up to or over 8 to 9 hundred bucks, if it were simple electronic repairs, ya buy, but it could end up costing u more to repair than to buy a smaller new mig welder, think u are buying somebody elses problem, good luck
