its hard to help without knowing your price range, do u have 220 volts available or only 110 volts, using to do auto body or small repair work or welding 3/16 inch or thicker metal, most common is 110 volt mig welder, need gas bottle and regulator or flux core wire which is not great for auto body, make sure u are not buying someone elses problem, search new machines on net, small hobart handler is reasonable and then price shipping cost, stay with major brands,(lincoln, miller, hobart)easy to get parts for and repair info, i been working on welders for a long time and one thing i do know is it will break and u need service major brand good, no harbor freight stuff, good luck
