Guys, I need your help since all of you know way more about welders than I do. My dad has over 40 years of welding experience primarily with stick and gas welding. His birthday is coming up and I want to buy him a nice new TIG welder, because, well, he's my dad :) I am leaning more towards Miller having read some of the things fellow posters here said. Now for my question: Where can I find the best prices on these kind of welders? Ebay is not exactly the cheapest place on earth and neither are many of the online dealers.
I'd like to spend about $1000-1200 on one unit but to get something that's usually priced a bit more since it will most likely have better features. I have to apologize for sounding so clueless because I know next to nothing about welding myself so I'm hoping some of you seasoned vets can help me out.
Your help would be MUCH appreciated!
