Hello there. You seem to know a lot about Al. I am an expert Titanium TIG welder. I build Ti bicycle frames. 10 years now. I am trying to learn how to weld Al. But am having a heck of a time. I am using a Lincoln invertec. A number 7 gas lense. 15 cfm argon and 4 cfm helium. 1/8 2% tungsten. I am welding .060 to .140. The Al is 7000 series with 4000 series .062 rod. The ball on the tungsten keeps wanting to get larger and larger. I have an Electrode negative setting and a frequency setting. I am preheating well. Any recomendations on my EN settings and frequency settings? Is it better to use a dipping techneque with the rod or the pulser, I have been trying the dip tech.
