I would arc weld using nyrod 99. I pre-heat to 400-700,I go 700 for exhaust manifolds. Clean and grind out cracked area then pre heat, weld with stringers and peen after every bead. After welding is finished let cast part cool slowly by burying in sand or covern with old leather gloves which I do. If the casting is very porous you may find after placing first pass down that the weld has a lot of porosity. Grind it out and place another pass down into re-ground area, it should now be much better.
