There are several phrases which fit this bill. They, however, are not literal translations of the English therefore.

(1) mar sin de
(2) dá bhrí sin
(3) dá bharr sin

Regarding Scots and Irish, they were once dialects of one language although now distinct. However, most persons fluent in one have little difficulty making sense of the other, especially if they have "dictionary in hand" to get past the difficult areas.
