I've been on 16mg. of suboxone for 6 months. At one point I lost my insurance for about 30 days and went without the suboxone for a week, then gave in to the methadone until I got my insurance back. After I got my insurance back I went back on the suboxone. Since then I worked my way down to half a 2mg. tab a day, but I stopped taking the suboxone again, simply to get high once more. After a few weeks of hittin the methadone really hard I went back on 16mg. a day once more. I have a goal of being off of the suboxone within the next 4 months. I will not be dependent on meds for the rest of my life! I will work my way down on the suboxone as low as I can go, then get a script for Klonopin and Elavil to take the edge off. I know I will still go through the withdraws, but thats the price I have to pay for getting myself in this position.
