Suboxone is an opiate derivative and there will be a detox phase to go through. It sounds like your dose was too high and you tried to come off of it too fast. If you wean off of it over a six month period you should have minimal discomfort. It beats being on heroin and copping on the street; not knowing what you're getting and how you're going to keep from getting sick. Anyone who thinks kicking anything is going to be a cake walk is in for a surprise. Yes, suboxone and subutex have withdrawal symptoms, but they're nothing compared to cold turkey heroin withdrawal or even gradual meth withdrawal. Discomfort is part of getting off anything. You just have to deal with it.
