Many people aren't ever off meds becasue they are ADHD, suffer from depression or are bi-polar. Some have diabetes or high blood pressure. So what is the deal that if you were addicted to a drug you can't take meds for that? Who decided for everyone that taking meds was a cop out? It's a self defeating idea to tell yourself you shouldn't be on meds for addiction. If it keeps you clean, off the street, out of jail, a functioning husband and father; then why wouldn't you take it as long as you neede to?
