Detoxing off methadone is nasty, but it won't kill you. Plenty of people do it all the time when they go to jail. It'll take about four months before you feel normal again. The first two weeks are the worst. If you don't have liver damage you can take tylenol flu for the symptoms. But nothing really makes it very tolerable. You can do a google search for homeopathic remedies. It takes a lot of will power to kick this one.
