First of all, it was illegal for the child to make the purchase of Salvi Divinorum.

Therefore, when you say that keeping salvia legal is intoxicating our children you are wrong. The children or breaking the law to use the drug. Saying this is exactly like saying keeping alcohol legal is poisoning our children because a percentage of children drink alcohol.

Illegalizing salvia to protect children? Hmmmm, like that worked with cannabis? Once salvia becomes illegal, it will be sold on the streets for cheaper prices and will probably have dangerous chemicals added to it to make it addictive like most street drugs.

You obviously did not do any research on salvia. Salvia has no long term effects on the body. It does not damage the brain. It is not addictive. It does not damage developement. Whereas alcohol is addictive, has long term effects and can kill you.

How about you put your energy into preventing teens from using substances that are actually harmful. I'll list some of them for you.

Alcohol
Cocaine
Methaphetamines
Nicotine
Ecstasy
Vicodin, Oxycotin, Lortav etc.
Heroine
PCP
Ketamine
