Chris,
I am sorry to hear of your problem. I too am a narcotic junkie of 11 years. I am now on methadone and Xanax. They both help an INCREDIBLE ammount. I can simply suggest that you change your best friend and cut off all contact with other junkies. For me, that was the hardest of all because my heroin connection was my brother. Good luck and hang in there. The physical sickness does go away after about 7-14 days. Personally, I never know if the mental cravings ever do. Not for me anyways.
