I am hoping by this time that you have taken Leslie's advice. I am a mother of an addict, not a wife, but I do think that the reality of the hell of the drug heroin finally set in when my son's friends finally said "enough." I guess the best thing that ever happened to him was that he hit the bottom, not rock bottom as he never was out on the streets, but he got very close.
If I had it to do over again, I would get some counseling from someone who does drug counseling- we did get some counseling but it didn't address the drugs that much.
